A wonderful English bone china teacup by Coalport. This “Embassy” pattern teacup and saucer is a rich cobalt blue and gilt on the saucer, and inner cup.  The outer background of the cup is white, as is the back of the saucer.  The foot, trim, and handle are all gilt. Circa 1940s.

 

The Coalport Co. began operation  in 1795. It was renowned for its fine porcelain worldwide. In 1926 changed hand retaining its name, and became part of the Wedgwood group moving to Staffordshire.

Cup- Diameter of bowl= 4”, height 2 ¼”

Saucer- Diameter = 5 ¾”

 

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No cracks or crazing. Beutiful ring to it.
